"The Power of One"
In the movie "the power of one" there was many different settings, characters, and themes but I really only want to focus on one a few thing here and there for now. "The power of one" made my view of South Africa way more enjoyable than I anticipated. The main character in the movie was P.K. who was English and was bullied in school. Now as he gets older he goes to a different school and lives with is grandfathers friend Doc. Now this is probably on my favorite settings in the jail and all of the Afrikaners in the jail and P.K. gets them to all sing in front of a big crowd but one of the worst parts also happens during all of this. This is when sergeant Bormann kills Geel Piet. I found this part interesting because in the beginning when P.K. was trying to get all of the different tribes to sing together and none of them could stand each other. But in the end they all worked together and it was amazing.
Another one of my favorite parts was at the end how P.K. met with Jaapi Botha when he was much older and that Jaapi was about to kill some random guy and P.K. stopped him and told him he was the one that Jaapi was looking for him. The part that got my adrenalin rushing was the anticipation of who was going to end up as the champion in this fight. In the end everything worked out pretty good but not necessarily perfect because of all the bad luck that kid has had with almost everyone he knew was dead or beat with in an inch of their life.
