Power of One

The Power of One The power of one was a movie that showed a lot about what happened to certain types of people back then. In my opinion it was a good movie and a very good story line. One thing that they could have done is give this period of time a part in the Native perspective and not just an English white boy. One of the things that I liked about the movie was how they showed the boy (P.K) getting bullied to show how the other kids got treated back then who weren’t Afrikaners. One of the inspiring things of the movie was when P.K got taught how to box by one Geel Piet, who is one of the natives. I also liked how P.K. was able to communicate and have all the native tribes work together to make a musical that was cleverly based on how the Afrikaners are scared. One of the parts in the movie that I didn’t like was when P.K. would at one time be in one place and magically appear in another. It was confusing at times. One of the more ironic and kind of funny in my opinion is when Maria died. The only reason it was kind of funny is because her dad Professor Daniel Morais sent the police to “safely” get her out of the church, but the police that were supposed to get her out “safely” ended up killing her. The last thing that I thought about the movie was how it ended. It just ended without any explanation and I think the director could have done a better job with that. But overall I thought it was a good movie
