The Power of One is a sad story and I am not exaggerating about that. The story
would have made most people cry. I had a tear in my eye when the chicken died. That
to me was the saddest part. I don’t know how many agree with me out right, but that
was definitely the saddest part for all of us deep down. I thought of the movie also as
one of empowerment. I mean did you see how P.K. was a boy of English descent and
the big bad Afrikaners beat him up. We definitely don’t have enough of these movies.
That last sentence was sarcastic if it was not noticeable. 

The movie was of empowerment in P.K. but we have a lot of movies that focus on the main ,usually, white main character and their journey of bringing others power through the power of white people.
 He is basically untouchable throughout the movie. If there was a way to make this
movie better there are two ways that would help exponentially. The first way would be to
make the main character an Afrikaner. That idea is a little self explanatory. The second
idea is to maybe take away a bit of that sadness. Can’t they just take away a little bit of
it. There was so much that when Maria became the love interest I knew that she was
going to die. I called it out and did not even feel that bad when she died. Most would call
that a little heartless but I didn’t really see the point of Maria’s character. I was also still
thinking about P.K..’s one true friend when Maria died so I didn’t care. Man I miss the
chicken, he was P.K.’s best friend.
