Speech Reflection

If you were to ask me before I got up to speak how I felt, I would respond terrified. My initial concerns were that I would talk to fast and not meet the time limit. When I got up to present however,  my nerves disappeared and I felt very comfortable talking at the podium because I spent a deal of time preparing prior to giving my speech.  Overall, I feel as if I talked slow and clear, making my speech easy to understand. My weaknesses would probably have to be my body language and not talking loud enough for everyone to hear. If I could redo my speech, I would do more research and figure out how to add on more information in a way that would be entertaining for my audience to hear.

The speeches overall were phenomenal.  Amber's speech really stood out to me in the sense that she really connected with her audience. You could tell that she was passionate about her topic by her lively tone and personal connections she made through the play. It exceeded my expectations and I thought she did an amazing job. Another speech that really caught my eye was Ashten's. She talked very clear and looked extremely calm while presenting. You could tell right away that she was prepared and knew what she was talking about. I liked how her personal opinions were thrown in perfectly and tied the speech together.

  2. I think you did a great job with your speech! I couldn't tell that you were nervous, you looked very calm and relaxed when you were presenting. And I don't think you needed to add more information, you had just the right amount! Once again, good job!
