Speech Reflecion

1. In my speech I thought I did pretty good. Before i got up to speak I was kind of nervous but as I started speaking my nerves gradually went away. Throughout the speech I got more relaxed and flowed through it because it was easy due to the practice and preparation. Also not having a contact in helped because I couldn't make out who was sitting in front of me. One of my weaknesses would have to be my voice level and the choppiness of my voice. I was a little quiet at first and my voice was choppy at times. But one of my strengths in the speech was of course making the time limit and not saying any bad words like "um" or "uh", also not pausing for more than a few seconds between ideas. One thing I would change if I did it over again would be to have a stronger introduction. 2. I thought Dane did a very good job on his speech. He used powerful words and used very little bad words. He also talked very clearly and had me focused on his presentation the whole time. His stories and examples he said about is cultural event went very well throughout his speech. I think the best part about his speech was the ending. The way he said he would not say he would want us to go to the Holocaust Memorial Center was awesome. This is because he said we "have to go" to it. This is why I thought he did a very good job.

  1. I think your speech was really good! it was definitely good to see that you got your intro down for your speech because you were struggling with is when we met.

  2. The first day we met to go over the speeches in groups I could tell you weren't as prepared because you didn't do any flash cards or know what to say for intro or conclusion but by Wednesday your speech went great. Good job!
